Enchantress mask

costume updates:
last night I put the straps on the bodice. I wasn’t going to, but the cotton base of the whole thing ripped a bit at one of the grommets. I didn’t use my usual cotton, it was a much thinner cotton, and I think that was the problem. I reinforced it, but to keep from having to put so much strain on them, I added the straps. If I have time I’m going to reinforce all of the grommets. I may have to, after the con, take the back two panels off, remake them with stronger fabric and replace them. But I think it’ll be ok for now.
I put the closures on the back of the belt, and I’ve been beading the front piece because it looks so plain. I’m not sure I like the beading, but I keep doing it. so I guess I’m going with it.

We vac-formed my mask the other night:

This is the form we made year before last, made off a cast of my upper face, to make my Huntress mask (you can see where we drew the Huntress mask outline on it. Also did my Jean Grey mask off of it.)

And sucking the plastic down over the form. Chase drew my mask out on the plastic, and will be cutting it out and painting it.

Other than that, we’ve been running errands and just getting ready for the trip, Chase is out of town THIS weekend so we’ve been trying to get stuff done before he leaves.

Oh and I finished my puzzle last weekend:

I’ve got a new Star Wars one to do, next. I need to get some glue for this one first.
